Tour description:
Starting from Kopaonik mountain resort after breakfast.
Drive across administrative line and entering Kosovo.
Visit to the monastery of Banjska, founded by Serbian king Milutin.
Drive to the city of Kosovska Mitrovica. Visit to the temple of St. Dimitri, patron of the city. From this place you can enjoy the view on the ethnically divided city. We will visit mixed neighborhood of Bošnjačka mahala, which is famous for its multiethnic trade.
Drive to the city of Peć and visit to the Patriarchate of Peć, where is a throne of Serbian patriarchs. Enjoying the view on Prokletije mountains and famous Rugova Valley. This monastery is on UNESCO World heritage list.
Visit to the pearl of Serbian culture, monastery of Visoki Dečani. Foundation of king Stefan Dečanski and his son emperor Dušan, this site is marvalous example of medival architecture and fresco arts. Stop in Velika Hoča and visit to the winery of the monastery where we will taste famous wine of Dečani and their cheese.
Drive to the city of Prizren. Visit to the fortress of the city named Kalaja from where we can enjoy the view on the town and entire region with mountains in the background. This is ethnically the most diverse city in entire region. Alongside orthodox churches are mosques, everywhere are artisanal shops.
Dinner in the hotel and free time.
After the breakfast we continue our journey to the village of Brod where we will enjoy in culinary specialities of Gorani people.
Drive to Gračanica and visit to the monastery of king Milutin.
Paying a visit to the vibrant city of Priština, capital of the province. Lunch time in the restaurant in the city centre.
Visit to the Gazimestan field where epic Kosovo battle took place.
Return to Kopaonik.
