Tour description:
Meeting point with the guide is in Cika Ljubina 6 at 11 am.
Stories of Serbia's turbulent history cannot be presented by a few visible remains. We have selected underground paths from the Roman, Austrian, Turkish and Serbian period to present to you.
First of them is Roman well, built in 18th century, which represents heritage from Austrian time. Alfred Hickok was amazed with the well, you will see why. The tour continues to Army bunker - from the time of the Cold War after the World War 2, where you will learn about some of the President Tito's political games between great countries. The third stop is Gunpowder warehouse - where you will have the chance to touch the walls of the cave which Austrians built as the part of the fortress which served as the defense of Christian Europe against Turkish Empire. This warehouse is also an exhibition place where you will see sarkophaguses and altars collected from different archeological sites on Serbian territory. The tour ends at Dungeons, where torture mechanisms from medieval period are exposed.
2 persons are minimum for realization of the tour.

My girlfriend and I were blown away by this tour. Not only are the fortress and its grounds beautiful, but Aleksandr was an exceptional guide! He was friendly, fascinating and incredibly knowledgeable, meaning we learnt a great deal about the fortress, Belgrade, Serbia and the Balkans in general. We can not rate this tour highly enough.
