Departure from Belgrade at 08: 00h from the parking lot near the market in New Belgrade. Highway drive to Niš. Upon arrivail in this amazing city, we will have a tour of the Niš Fortress, built in the early 18th century. Continue walking down the city center along the Nišava River where we will cross the bridge and reach the main pedestrian zone. During the walk we will see a Liberators Niš monument and a Šaban Bajramović monument.
Followed by the tour of the Skull Tower, which was built after the Battle of Čegar in 1809, with 952 skulls of the dead Serbian rebel carved in the walls. Lunch break in one of the many ethno restaurants in famous Kazandžian street. Drive to Prolom Spa. Accommodation. Dinner in a hotel restaurant and overnight.
Breakfast. Morning walk (2,5 km) to the Lazarica church. Here you will see an unusual natural phenomenon - twisted plums - and hear its legends. Departure for the Devil's Town. A tour of this natural monument with unusual looks, consisting of earth figures on whose tops are stone blocks - hats. Earth pyramids, or as the locals call them "towers", are high from 2 to 15 meters. After the tour, lunch break at the site. Followed by Kuršumlija town,and the visit of the Saint Nicholas monastery, the oldest endowment of Stefan Nemanja and one of the oldest monuments of medieval architecture in Serbia. We continue to the Holly Mother of God Monastery, located at the mouth of Kosanica in Toplice, 800 meters downstream from the monastery of Saint Nicholas. Stefan Nemanja dedicated this monastery to his wife, Ana, who at one time administered it.
Arrival to Belgrade and Novi Sad in the evening.
