Journey through Iriški Venac on Fruška gora mountain, called "Serbian Athos" because of its 16 monasteries and . The first visit will be in Hopovo monastery, which dates from the end of the 15th century.  The new church was erected in the 16th century when it represented the most important educational center. The founder of this ancient sanctuary, like most of the Fruška Gora pearls, is Holy Bishop Maxim (Djordje Brankovic) and this is his first endowment. The greatest wealth of the monastery is the relics of St. Theodore Tyrone, which are preserved in the life, in the church. Theodore Tiron is the first saint, protector of the city of Venice.

Continue  to Grgeteg monastery founded by Vuk Grgurević, known to the people as Zmaj Ognjeni Vuk in the middle of the 15th century. The monastery church is dedicated to St. Nicholas. In this monastery, one of the most faithful copies of the icon of the Mother of God Three-handed from Hilandar is kept. During its history, the Grgeteg Monastery was often a refuge for the singers who fled from Serbia under the fork of the Turks and was burnt on several occasions, but always rised againas ike a phoenix.

Visit Krušedol monastery, the most important of 17 monasteries in Fruska Gora. The monastery was founded by Vladika Maksim (Djordje Brankovic) with her mother despotic Angelina - the last despotic family of medieval Serbia. The monastery church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The oldest frescoes are from the middle of the 16th century, and these are the most important examples of Baroque painting in Serbia. All members of the last despotic family Brankovic, Kralj Milan Obrenovic, Knjeginja Ljubica, Arsenije III Carnojevic, Arsenije II Jovanovic and Stevan Sjupljik are buried in the monastery.

Upon arrival in Sremski Karlovci,  we will make a break of 1.5 hours for lunch that you can afford yourself in the restaurant of the hotel Danube or one of the nice restaurants in the city.
