Tour description:
Our traditional easy tour fits to all type of riders from age of 16 to 86! Most of the route is flat and goes through very important historical part of Balkans. During this 5 day tour you will have a chance to discover one part of Serbia with interesting Roman, Turkish, Hungarian and Serbian history, monasteries, churches, good roads, beautiful scenery, nature and all that accompanied with typical Serbian food and drinks. Our traditional easy tour fits to all type of riders from age of 16 to 86! Most of the route is flat and goes through very important historical part of Balkans. During this 5 day tour you will have a chance to discover one part of Serbia with interesting Roman, Turkish, Hungarian and Serbian history, monasteries, churches, good roads, beautiful scenery, nature and all that accompanied with typical Serbian food and drinks.
1st day 60km We start our first day in one of the oldest cities in Europe, Sremska Mitrovica or Sirmium during the Roman Empire. Ten Roman emperors were born in the city and its environs. This small city with huge history offers us a good food on river Sava and therefor we are having lunch here. After lunch we are going to change and get on bikes. We do small lap in the center visiting Roman excavations and after nice coffee we getting back on bikes.
On our way to Novi Sad we going over Fruska Gora climb and we are going to cross river Danube on ferry. Not far from that point we are entering Novi Sad. We are going to make a short tour in downtown. After short tour in downtown we are heading to hotel for a quick shower and dinner is expecting us in one of best restaurants located on river bench, Danube.
2nd day 75km+15km
It’s time for breakfast on Petrovaradin, old fortress in Novi Sad. Second biggest city in Serbia is famous for its history and beauty. The city with a great vibe it’s perfect place to start our second ride after a good coffee in downtown.
A flat and easy route take us to Special nature reserve "Carska Bara". This is perfect place to take a break, joy the nature and have lunch in ethno restaurant. After a good feast we are packing and going to our next location by car.
Vrsac, the city of wine and wind is our host for 3rd night in Serbia.
After a short ride from the top of the hill to city center we are taking shower and heading for special dinner in local winery.
3rd day 65km+25km(optional)
Another interesting day in front of us with two short rides. First is till ferry that takes us on other side of River Danube almost 7km wide. After crossing Danube we are getting back on our bikes and riding to Srebrno Jezero. Silver Lake is perfect place to have lunch and take a longer break. Packing bikes and transfer to Golubac, our next host town, located on Danube ( optional to ride this 25km transfer). Visiting monaster Tumane is on our list as well.
Another different restaurant and great food for dinner is a great reward for a nice day on 2 wheels.
4th day 86km
After visiting Golubac fortress we getting on bikes and heading to Smederevo, our next stop.
Another beautiful town with important Serbian history. Here we are going to visit a one of the biggest fortress in Europe. Once again we are having lunch od riverside, Danube.
After a nice break we are packing and going to Belgrade by car.
And here we are in the center of Balkans, Belgrade. After a quick shower we are going to visit second biggest orthodox church in the heart of the city. After a short walk we are going to another nice dinner in the heart of Belgrade.
5th day 40km
It’s time to discover Belgrade by day. The best way to do its on bike, of course. Riding in city center, on bike paths along the rivers and finishing all at Belgrade sea-Ada lake. This is place where we are going to have lunch and enjoying our last moments of this great tour.
Time to say good buy and hope that you come again for our other tour. But for this one you will have to train harder because there are some nice climbs.
