We start at 6.30 am from Novi Sad, from the parking lot in front of Hotel Sajam. From Belgrade, we depart at 8 am across from Skate Park across TC Ušće and near Brankov Bridge.
Two hours drive by bus to the medieval Golubac Fortress which we will visit. The fort was erected in the XIV century at the entrance to the Djerdap Gorge and was declared a cultural monument of exceptional significance. Since 2014 restoration started. For the visitors, the interior of the fortress with the Lower Town is accessible with the supplement, through which the local guide will guide us and tell us the fascinating stories. After the visit, we continue our journey to Donji Milanovac and Đerdap.
Transfer to Captain Mišin Breg. Lunch at around 12:30. Lunch at around 12:30.
At 15:00 boarding at Tekija and cruise Djerdap for about 1.5 hours through Mali and Veliki Kazan, and by this, we will see numerous signal boats, Hajduk Vodenica, Decibel's head on the Romanian side and Trajan's board on our side. This board is from the Imperial Road from the Roman period and can only be seen from the water.
After that, we will visit Lepenski Vir, where the most important archaeological site from the Neolithic period (9500 years old) will be visited. This site was the seat of one of the most important and most complex cultures of prehistory. At this site, during 6500-8800 Before the new era, there was a settlement with at least 136 buildings, both residential and sacral. This settlement was older than the oldest known cities or buildings such as the Pyramids of Giza (2560 BC) or any known old city (Jerusalem, Beirut, Damascus, Aleppo in Syria or Biblos in Lebanon). It is much older than the Acropolis and Ancient Greece. Numerous studies have confirmed that this is a cradle of European civilization.
Return to Belgrade and arrival around 21:00, in Novi Sad at around 22:30.
NOTE: possible change in the order of the program, first cruise and then lunch.
