Tour description:

Departure from Belgrade at 9h. Drive to Stari Slankamen where we will visit the church in which Zmaj Ognjeni Vuk was coming. Vuk was extra-marital son of Grgur Brankovic, and because of that, he could not bring his father's surname, but he gets his last name by his name! In fact, Vuk Grgurevic is the successor to the last Serbian despotic family Brankovic.

Free time to discover this interesting place on the Danube and its charm or to enjoy in an optional boat ride around the Danube for about 1.5 hours. When we are already talking about the battles of the Ottomans and the Christians (ie the Holy Roman Empire), we will also visit the monument of the Battle of Slankamen which was played here in 1691.

Departure to the Grgeteg Monastery around 11:30 am which Vuk has raised for his blind father Grgur. Today this monastery is one of the most visited on Fruška Gora, primarily because of the miraculous (a copy) of the icon of Three-handed Holly Mary, which was brought from Hilandar. It is also interesting that this is the only  Serbian monastery and a church whose interior is not fresco painted (you will find out why). We will also see an  interesting altar located above the port of the church, which was painted by the famous painter and caricaturist Pjer Križanić (1911).

Going to the village Noćaj where we will have a break for lunch in the ethno restaurant  Dragon of the Night, which is named after another Dragon, the First Serbian Insurrection, Stojan Ćupić, who is known as the Dragon of  the Night. We'll take a break here a little bit, and after lunch we will continue our journey to Kupinovo village. Visit the medieval town of Kupinovo from the 14th century, which was originally the Hungarian royal fortress, and since the 15th century the residence of Serbian despots and the city of despot Vuk Grgurević. We will talk aboutanother Dragon and the great Vuk's friend and colleague -  Vlad Cepes (many more famous as the Earl Dracula). Return to Belgrade around 19:00.

In this description we gave you only a part of interesting stories that you will find out much more during the tour.
