Tour description:
The departure is at 9.30 AM from the parking lot in front of the Sajam Hotel in Novi Sad.
Drive to Kulpin. A tour of Stratimirović Castle and a visit to an interesting exhibition of the Museum of Agriculture.
Departure to Bački Petrovac, where the majority of the population of Vojvodina Slovaks who immigrated to this area almost three centuries ago.
Visiting the oldest house turned into a museum and gallery of Zuska Medvedjova, the most important art institution of Vojvodina Slovaks.
Then we'll go to the gallery space of the Association of Women from Bački Petrovac, where after a warm welcome, we will get acquainted with the Slovak tradition, culture, and customs. Here we'll have the opportunity to taste some of the specialties by which Bački Petrovac is recognizable, but also to buy products made by the golden hands of Petrovac women.
We continue the tour towards the Gallery of Painters Urbanček, who, after working life in America, returned to his homeland to create his paintings there. The most common motif in his paintings is the life of Slovaks in Vojvodina. By the way, this artist does not sell his paintings but presents them to his village.
After visiting Bački Petrovac, we'll go to Čenej and Salaš 137, where a traditional Vojvodina lunch awaits us in an authentic Salaš ambiance.
