Tour description:
First day:
The first day combines hiking and climbing activities in and around XIV century fortress "Stari Grad" (Old Town), built on the steep cliff and surrounded by the Đetinja river. The main challenge is to complete the climb from city beach to the very top of the fortress. After reaching the top, we'll use a zipline by which we'll "fly" over the canyon of Đetinja river. From there, we continue by combining hiking and climbing techniques along and across the river. You can also experience this adventure yourself by following marked pathways, or with a hiking guide and adequate climbing equipment.
Second day:
A bicycle ride through beautiful mountain areas to Kadinjača, the famous historical monument complex. Then, we ride across Ponikve and beside Rujno Monastery, descending into the special protected area and enter the route of the old railway through the canyon of Đetinja river, then riding back to Užice. The total length of this cycling route is about 50 km.
Third day:
This day is reserved for exploring the culture and history of the city of Užice. We'll visit the city museum and the old underground ammunition factory, city beach, old hydroelectric power station, the city's main square, and the main St. Sava Square.
Fourth day:
Kayak ride on the Uvac lake, a special nature reserve, the oasis of untouched nature, purity and peace - an unforgettable part of this unusual adventure in Western Serbia.
Fifth day:
The last day is left for climbing to the most beautiful viewpoint in Užice, with a great clear view of the city and the Fortress. We'll start a hiking trail at the Sports and recreation center "Veliki park", leading to 739 meters viewpoint "Zabučje".
